Yanni in Concert - Live at the Acropolis

Tom Lehrer: Live in Copenhagen

On September 25, 1993, beneath the glow of the Parthenon, an audience assembled to witness Greek musician Yanni's extraordinary homecoming. LIVE AT THE ACROPOLIS features the acclaimed composer's most timeless works brought to life with a full band and orchestra.

The concert originally aired to an estimated 130 public television stations nationwide on March 1, 1994 and became one of the most successful fundraising programs in PBS history.  On top of that, the video recording spent 229 weeks on Billboard‘s Top Music Video and Top VHS Sales charts. It has been seen in 65 countries by half a billion people, and is among the best-selling music videos of all time.

Now, this landmark concert returns to public television for an encore presentation. Yanni fans will be excited to see the maestro take the stage in his homeland once again to perform some of his best-loved songs, including “Santorini,” “Nostalgia,” and  “Reflections of Passion.” Replete with lush instrumentals, Yanni’s charismatic showmanship, and a romantic backdrop, the concert showcases the Greek keyboardist, composter and producer at the height of his career.
