Formerly known as the TASTY AWARDS, the annual TASTE AWARDS celebrate the best achievements in food, fashion, health, travel, sports, and lifestyle programs on television, in film, streaming, podcasts, and in photography.
Nominated this year under the category for Best Food Travel Series is the eight-part series Maria's Portuguese Table.
Hosted by Maria Lawton, a cooking enthusiast lovingly known as the “Azorean Green Bean” and author of Azorean Cooking: From My Family Table to Yours, the series takes audiences on a culinary journey from the heart of the Azorean islands to vibrant Portuguese communities throughout the United States.
First airing on WSBE Rhode Island PBS, the show’s presenting station, in 2019, Maria’s Portuguese Table has become a household favorite amongst viewers.
