Celebrating the Future of Rhode Island Public Media
Uncorking the Future is the organization’s largest fundraising event. This year, the event celebrates the merger between Rhode Island PBS and The Public’s Radio, a historic decision that was approved by Attorney General Peter Neronha in April 2024.

An Evening of Culinary Delights and Entertainment
Guests can anticipate an enticing selection of small bites and beverage samples provided by top restaurants, confectionaries, distilleries, breweries, and vineyards from Rhode Island and southeastern New England. Event highlights will include live performances by musician Lila Wilde and local band The Whelks both artists were recently featured in the Rhode Island PBS series Ocean State Sessions, an instant-win wine grab, and both live and silent auctions.

Art Show
The theme for this year’s “Uncorking the Future” draws inspiration from metamorphosis and centers around the merging of Rhode Island PBS and The Public’s Radio. As an accompaniment to the main event, works from artists featured in our original series “ART inc.” and “Artscape” will be showcased in the WaterFire Arts Center gallery. Attendees and the community will have the opportunity to explore the curated work of artists profiled in both series from Thursday, March 27 - Sunday, April 27, 2025.
