Tax Forum 2018 Marks 40 Years of Televised Tax Help from Local CPAs

The longest-running show on Rhode Island PBS is the annual Tax Forum, produced in association with the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants for 40 years.

Expect tax preparation and filing advice from seasoned tax professionals in both the public and private sectors when we air Tax Forum 2018 on Thursday, March 29 at 8 p.m., with re-broadcasts on Saturday, March 31 at 11 p.m. and Sunday evening April 1 at 7.

At the top of the topics list this year is Tax Reform – changes in standardized and itemized deductions. Plus, Charitable Contributions – substantiation requirements; Mortgage Interest and Rental Real Estate; Staying Organized and Record Keeping; Taxability of Pensions and Annuities; State Refund Status; Fraud and Identity Theft; Self-Employment; Receiving a Notice from the IRS or Division of Taxation; Tax Litigation.
