On Thursday, November 25 and Friday, November 26, join WSBE Rhode Island PBS for a tour of the Our Town series, so far spanning 12 locales from Glocester to Cumberland. Our Town shares the charm and character of life in Rhode Island. Resident storytellers and filmmakers choose their own subjects, capturing their town’s history and culture from a uniquely personal, firsthand perspective. Rhode Island PBS offers technical advice throughout the production and edits together the individual video stories into a single one-hour film for broadcast.
Part fundraiser, part community builder, part documentary film, and part “day-in-the-life” video scrapbook, the project offers a collection of stories from the tight-knit community of Rhode Island.
