Just Ellen's: Devoting More Than a Decade of Talent and Generosity

Email share

On Friday, November 17, Rhode Island PBS was among dozens of other nonprofit organizations to honor and celebrate the impact of corporate and personal generosity on our state. With about 400 others at the annual National Philanthropy Day breakfast presented by the Association of Fundraising Professionals, we celebrated our 2017 partner in philanthropy, Ellen Loconto of Just Ellen's Catering & Event Planning.

Ellen has been our vital event partner for more than a decade. Whether it is a meeting for 12 or a gala for 400, Ellen works diligently to make sure all of our events - including An Evening Uncorked since 2001, volunteer receptions, auctions and pledge fundraisers - are meticulously planned and executed for our guests.

In addition to the delicious menus she plans, Ellen has a profoundly kind and generous heart, patient, open, and willing to answer requests with creative solutions. Her generosity goes beyond the Rhode Island PBS mission and extends into many other non-profit organizations, including: Adoption Rhode Island, Business Innovation Factory, Providence Performing Arts Center, Providence Public Library, Rhode Island International Film Festival, and Trinity Repertory Company, just to name a few.

Ellen has delivered years of smiles and satisfaction to our community, and Rhode Island PBS is honored and grateful to name Ellen Loconto our 2017 partner in philanthropy.

Also celebrated at the November 17 event are these 2017 Award Winners:

Outstanding Philanthropic Corporation: Claflin Company
Outstanding Philanthropic Business: Gracie’s Venture
Outstanding Philanthropic Citizens: Kate and Howard Kilguss
Youth in Philanthropy Scholarship Recipient: China Yang, student at The Juanita Sanchez Educational Complex
