The
Rhode Island Public Telecommunications Authority was established
under Rhode Island General Laws; Title 16, Chapter 61, subsection
2.
The Authority
shall consist of nine (9) members as follows: seven (7) public
members appointed by the governor; the chairperson of the
board of regents for elementary and secondary education or
his or her designee; the chairperson of the board of governors
for higher education or his or her designee. The governor
shall designate one of the public members as chairperson of
the Authority.
The Rhode
Island Public Telecommunications Authority is the governing
body of Rhode Island public television, Rhode Island PBS.
