But education takes many forms. It starts at birth and continues for a lifetime.

With education at the core of our mission, WSBE has been expanding the traditional definition of 'education' since the day of our first broadcast in 1967. It started with closed-circuit in-classroom instructional programs, and grew to GED preparation and college telecourses right at home. Today, using innovative technologies, WSBE delivers educational video-on-demand to schools, libraries, adult learning centers, as well as homes and offices.

WSBE also continues to redefine education through our program choices on both television channels. True to our mission, we explore, discover, and share the important untold stories about our state, our neighbors, and the issues that matter to our viewers.
