Children in a village of Uganda, Africa, have a brand new school, and the children who watch Rhode Island PBS were invited to draw colorful pictures to decorate the walls in this new school. This invitation ended on November 30.
This invitation is part of a Rhode Island PBS project with students at Bryant University, and "Building Understanding of Life in Africa" (BULA).
UPDATE!
Six-year-old John F. of Cumberland was the first child to send in artwork! Thank you and great job, John! Here is John's drawing.

This is a world map and has the continents of North America and Africa circled in red. North America includes three large countries - the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico - and several smaller countries near Mexico, which are also considered Central America. The continent of Africa includes 53 individual countries. The equator - the invisible line that marks the middle of the world and is the hottest area on Earth - passes through Africa, and the lower edge of Uganda.
