The third season of Harvesting Rhode Island introduces an hour long special titled Harvesting Rhode Island: The Fishing Industry. Through this eye-opening documentary, producer Alex Caserta, director and editor Soren Sorensen, and director of photography Jason Rossi, explore the concept of buying local fresh seafood - the boat to table idea - and the benefits.
Interviews with fishermen on location at Pier 9 and Point Judith, provide an inside look at the diverse collection of individuals who work on the docks, and how each of their jobs support the industry.
From harvesting, to processing, to distribution, the documentary also presents the wide variety of fish that become the "Catch of the Day."
