Starting March 31, eight teams of Rhode Island's best and brightest compete head to head over seven weeks in a single-elimination academic competition. High School Quiz Show: Rhode Island® is the newest opportunity for Rhode Island high school students to vie for the glory of a championship title.
Of the eight teams that qualified for the quarterfinals last fall, Barrington High School (in Barrington) faces Exeter - West Greenwich Senior High School (in West Greenwich) in the first match - East versus West - on March 31. Classical High School (in Providence) faces Lincoln Senior High School (in Lincoln) in the second match - City versus Suburbs - on April 7. Bishop Hendricken High School (in Warwick) faces Lincoln School (in Providence) in the All-Boys School versus All-Girls School match on April 14. LaSalle Academy (in Providence) faces Mount Saint Charles Academy (in Woonsocket) in the fourth match that pits these classic rivals against each other on April 21.
Winners of the first four matches go on to compete in the semifinals on April 28 and May 5. The final two teams advance to the championship on May 12.
