We use video stream technology to connect your classroom and bring affordable high-quality digital media resources and learning tools.

What is Video Streaming?

Video Streaming is an application used to enhance lesson plans in a variety of subjects for students K-12 that include:

- Life Science & Biology
- Chemistry
- Language Arts & Reading
- Early Childhood

- Earth & Space Science
- Social Studies
- Health & Prevention

- Physical Science
- Mathematics
- General Science

Video Streaming technology is used to enhance instruction in a variety of subjects at all grade levels and refers to the process of viewing video over the Internet. A file is selected from a menu of video files stored on a remote server. The content is viewed through a media player while a video buffer stores and presents the information; the video file resides on a remote server for viewing although it can be downloaded directly onto the user's computer for later viewing. Streaming video usually means availability of video-on-demand, but it can also mean a video broadcast in real time as an event unfolds.
For enhanced digital learning services, related webinars, and or onsite professional development workshops please email your request to the Education Services Department of your local public television station, WSBE – Rhode Island PBS.
