    This is a great site for teachers of young children with many ideas for classroom use. March is National Reading month, so the site includes a reading chart that encourages students to read different types of books as well as signs, cereal boxes, and a variety of different types of material. For creating books, there are shapes that can be printed, copied, and cut out for shape books where students can write a story. Printable research cards are available for students to use when they are learning basic research skills.

    FunBrain.com produces kids learning games for K-8 kids and teachers, although games are sorted by age. The focus is on providing teachers, parents, and kids with the tools they need to succeed.

    Younger students will learn interesting facts about tigers, conservation measures, and have adventures and fun related to tigers at this site. Simple tiger questions are answered interactively on this attractive site for young children. The tiger will even growl for those with audio on their computers.

    Meet Willie Wonka and the Oompa Loompas in this exciting and colorful site. The interactive games are both fun and educational with varied levels, and that can be played online with Shockwave or downloaded. Topics include science, technology and animals. Visit the 'Teacher's Office' in the 'Wonka School' for lesson plans.

    This site has been designed by BBC Education to entertain and develop the learning potential of pre-school children. Combining games with the skills of painting, music and general coordination, this site is an ideal way for children to start learning. There is also an instruction section for parents. The graphics are bright, the layout is simple and, of course, the Teletubbies are on hand to provide extra interest and fun.

    The INEW site is great for practicing basic math. It is worthwhile spending time getting to know the site as it has a good deal to offer K- 6 students. A hardcopy version and an interactive version are available.

    This catalog of simple pictures to download, print, and color includes numerous examples of animals, birds, fish, and insects. There are puzzles, mazes, dot-to-dot, and wordsearches too. It also provides images for seasonal events.

    This is a great way for students to learn about banking. A cast of colorful characters takes them through the workings of ATM machines, compound interest, checks, and savings accounts. Students can test their acquired knowledge with a quiz at the end of each section.

    This site consists of stories, nursery rhymes, fables, fairytales, and poetry. Also has links to coloring and activity pages.
