LEARN360

LEARN360 Streamed-Curriculum is an affordable high-quality digital media educational resource and collection of full length videos, video clips, audio programs, images, primary source newsreels, famous speeches, encyclopedia articles, lesson plans, teacher's guides, songs, and student activities from more than 60 of education's top content providers.

LEARN360 offers multiple media formats that address different learning styles, reinforce curriculum, and ensure that all students grasp concepts. With all content searchable and video content aligned to state standards, LEARN360 supports lessons, themes, and topics that bring the curriculum to life in a way that inspires today's tech-savvy students to excel.

LEARN360 Streamed-Curriculum is a digital service offered through WSBE RIPBS Video Streaming Curriculum Program.

Annual Connection & Fee for Service

To connect your school or district to LEARN360 digital service please download, complete, sign, and submit the mandatory Letter of Agreement. (Adobe Reader Required). Letter of Agreement must be submitted before any connection to the service takes place.

Letter of Agreement can be mailed to WSBE Rhode Island PBS, Education Services, 50 Park Lane, Providence, RI 02907, faxed to Education Services at (401)222-3407 or emailed to Education Services..

The annual fee for LEARN360 video streamed curriculum service is based on 2008-2009 student enrollment data by RIDE as follow:

$500 per school with more than 200 students enrolled in 2008-2009.
$350 per school with less than 200 students enrolled in 2008-2009.
$500 per private and catholic school.

LEARN360 server gives educators and students access to:

  • The industry's most up-to-date collection of standard based videos, video clips and audio programs.
  • Image library " A collection of audio and video speeches " Thousands of encyclopedia articles
  • A very popular collection of newsreels
  • Lesson plans and quizzes
  • Special enhanced tools
Educators are allowed to upload own content or choose from thousands of teachers' resources including the most trusted and award-winning educational content partners and popular video series.

Enhanced Tools
Educators can now manage their content using enhanced features. Teachers can create quizzes and assignments, easily upload and share user-created content and communicate with students in the classroom or at home via blogs and discussion boards.

Student Assignment and Quiz Creation Tool
Create multimedia assignments and quizzes for students using the "My Assignments Feature" while incorporating multimedia. Select questions from an existing question bank, and create quizzes that are easy to assign and that are automatically graded.

Upload and Share Documents and Media
There are now no boundaries to the favorite content that can be added to LEARN360. Teachers can upload the largest number of supported document types to "My LEARN360 Page" (Word, PDF, Excel, PowerPoint, CSV, RTF, TXT, SMART™ Notebook and Promethean Flipchart) and instantly share them with students or colleagues.

Teachers can also upload own videos in Windows Media, Flash, and QuickTime; link shared documents to relevant LEARN360 videos.

Advanced Approval Feature
This feature allows "administrator control" over what content can be published and shared within a school or district.

Classroom Blog Creating Tool
"My LEARN360's Blog" creation tool makes it easy to create a classroom Blog. Teachers can add their students to any blog and share information digitally with an entire class.

Teacher's Lessons and Teaching Guides
There is a collection of lesson plans completed by specialists in addition to thousands of additional "Teacher Guides" and "Student Activities"

My Calendar
This tool help you plan while keeping you organized and informed. It gives teachers the opportunity to personalize a calendar on "My LEARN360" page and helps them to keep on schedule. It also enables teachers to notify and remind students about important events, assignments, and quizzes.

Podcasting
LEARN360 supports new technology initiatives and makes podcasting easy so teachers and students can share favorites. Podcasts can also be added to iTunes in just one click.
