A
main goal of WSBE Rhode Island PBS Education Services Department
is to offer services and programs that help support adults
looking into acquiring basic skills necessary to function
in today's society so that they can benefit from the completion
of secondary school, enhance family life, attain citizenship,
and participate in job training and retraining programs
available across the state.
Our
Education Services Department staff work very closely with
Rhode Island's Adult Learning Centers that offer programs
in adult education and literacy and career and technical
education. Our staff also works with the state community
college offering adult education programs and offer technology
training for teachers, faculty, and adult learners as well
as free access to our curriculum-based collection of videos
available at anytime from anywhere.
Adults
seeking their General Education Development (GED) diplomas
and those looking into the development of specific work
related skills can request FREE Internet access to thousands
of curriculum-based content including the GED Connection
and the Workplace Essential Skills Series.
